Course Description

This asynchronous, scenario-based PDU course strengthens RBT data collection and documentation skills in busy, real-world clinic playroom settings. Through applied cases involving skill acquisition and behavior tracking during group activities, learners practice maintaining accuracy under distractions, using objective language, protecting confidentiality, and staying within scope while producing clear records that support BCBA decision-making.

What You'll Learn

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to identify common barriers to accurate data collection and documentation in high-traffic ABA clinical environments and apply practical, evidence-based strategies—such as coding systems, frequency tallies, and immediate data entry—to maintain accuracy during distractions and group activities. Participants will demonstrate the ability to produce objective, measurable, and compliant documentation for both skill acquisition and behavior reduction targets, while implementing professional documentation practices that uphold client confidentiality, adhere to scope of practice, and support timely, appropriate reporting to the supervising BCBA® in alignment with BACB® standards and ethical guidelines.
