ACE Provider Information

This asynchronous PDU course prepares Registered Behavior Technicians® to implement behavior acquisition procedures that promote independence in daily living skills. With a focus on natural routines such as morning and community activities, the course demonstrates how reinforcement, prompting, chaining, discrete trial training, and naturalistic teaching are applied within scope to build functional, socially significant skills. Emphasis is placed on systematic support, prompt fading, accurate data collection, and ethical practice that preserves learner dignity and supports generalization across environments.

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to describe behavior acquisition procedures outlined in the BACB® RBT® Task List (C.1–C.5) and explain their role in promoting client independence within Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services. Participants will demonstrate the ability to apply evidence-based strategies including reinforcement, prompting, chaining, and naturalistic teaching within daily routines, implement task analyses for multi-step skills, and accurately collect and record learner performance data. Additionally, participants will identify and troubleshoot common skill acquisition errors, such as prompt dependency and delayed reinforcement, and support skill generalization and independence across settings while adhering to RBT® scope of practice and BACB® ethical guidelines.

Happy Clients Say!

“Straightforward and actually useful.”

I’ve taken a lot of CEUs that feel repetitive. These were clear, practical, and easy to follow. I liked that the scenarios felt realistic instead of overly scripted.

“Good balance of ethics and real-world examples.”

The PDUs didn’t just restate the ethics code they explained how it actually applies during sessions. I walked away feeling more confident in my decisions at work.

“Clear, professional, and up to date.”

The material felt current and well thought out. It didn’t feel rushed or outdated like some CEUs I’ve taken elsewhere.
