Course Description

This asynchronous PDU course focuses on the RBT’s role in supporting behavior assessment across multiple settings under BCBA supervision. Through realistic, scenario-based examples, RBTs learn how to collect consistent, objective data across environments, organize observations effectively, and communicate assessment-related information in a manner that supports valid behavior assessment and treatment planning. Emphasis is placed on maintaining scope of practice, data accuracy, and professional collaboration.

What You'll Learn

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to describe the purpose of behavior assessment in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and define the RBT®’s role within the assessment process, while maintaining scope of practice. Participants will demonstrate the ability to collect and record objective, reliable behavior data consistently across settings and staff, organize and summarize assessment-related data for review by a supervising BCBA®, and communicate observations and relevant environmental variables clearly and professionally in alignment with BACB® standards and ethical guidelines.
