Course Description

This asynchronous, scenario-based PDU course prepares Registered Behavior Technicians® to accurately document and report unexpected incidents during ABA service delivery. Using realistic community and clinic-based scenarios, the course emphasizes objective documentation, timely reporting, and adherence to BACB documentation and ethical standards. Learners practice translating high-pressure situations into clear, compliant incident and session records that support client safety, supervisory decision-making, and professional accountability.

What You'll Learn

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to apply BACB® documentation and reporting standards (D-1, D-2, D-3) to real-world Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) service delivery, demonstrating accurate, objective, and compliant documentation of incidents, injuries, and variables that may impact client outcomes. Participants will learn to identify and correct common documentation errors, including subjective language, omissions, and incomplete data, while implementing appropriate reporting procedures that follow required timelines, supervisory chains, and communication protocols in alignment with the BACB® Ethics Code and organizational policies.
