Description

Applied ABC is seeking a compassionate and motivated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide school-based behavioral support to students within the Hawaii Department of Education’s Central District, including Aiea, Moanalua, and Radford. Working under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the RBT will implement ABA-based intervention plans, provide direct student support, collect behavioral data, and collaborate with educators and clinical team members to promote positive academic, social, and behavioral outcomes.

  • Schedule: Weekdays aligned with the Hawaii DOE academic calendar
Experience
  • Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, with school-based, special education, ABA, or autism support experience preferred.
Skills
  • Strong communication, data collection, behavior intervention, documentation, collaboration, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in school-based multidisciplinary environments.
Requirements
  • Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification in good standing or willingness to obtain certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Ability to implement ABA-based intervention plans under BCBA supervision
  • Ability to provide one-on-one and small-group behavioral support
  • Ability to collect accurate, real-time behavioral data
  • Ability to complete session documentation within required timelines
  • Ability to collaborate with teachers, school staff, BCBAs, and related service providers
  • Ability to follow Hawaii DOE policies, safety protocols, and professional conduct standards
  • Completion and maintenance of required QBS Safety-Care certification
  • Participation in required BCBA supervision and ongoing professional development
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Human Services, ABA, or a related field preferred
  • Experience supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder preferred
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills preferred
