Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to support middle school students in Salem and Nashua Public Schools. This role involves collaborating with students, families, and school professionals to provide individualized educational support for students with diverse learning and behavioral needs, including autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities, behavioral disabilities, and other identified or emerging needs.

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–2:30 PM, with flexibility if needed
  • Student Age Group: Middle School
Experience
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities, behavioral challenges, and emotional dysregulation.
Skills
  • Strong communication, collaboration, classroom management, individualized instruction, and interpersonal skills.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Valid state teaching certification with a Special Education endorsement or Statement of Eligibility (SOE)
  • Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field preferred
  • Experience supporting middle school students with diverse educational and behavioral needs
  • Ability to provide individualized educational support based on student needs
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with families, teachers, and other school professionals
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work Monday–Friday during regular school hours
